ClosetLens never writes into a marketplace form, never clicks a button on a page, and never submits a listing. It only reads the tab's URL to know which platform you're viewing - it never reads the page itself. Nothing touches your account, so there is no automated-activity risk: you review every word and you press publish.

Every field is editable - fix a word, tweak the condition, add the measurements buyers always ask about. Live character counters keep you inside the limit. If the Poshmark draft is off but Depop and eBay are great, regenerate just that one platform instead of redoing all three. Frequently asked questions
Is ClosetLens safe to use? Will it get my accounts restricted?
ClosetLens is designed to be the safest kind of listing tool: it only generates text and copies it to your clipboard. It never fills in a marketplace form, never clicks anything on Poshmark, Depop, or eBay, and never submits or schedules a listing. It only reads your current tab's URL to know which platform you're on - not the page's contents, and never your browsing history. You personally review and publish every listing, so there is no automated activity for any marketplace to flag.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Your photos are used only to identify the item and generate that session's listings via our third-party AI provider. We don't permanently store your original photos - they're discarded when the request finishes - and we keep no cloud history of your generated listings. We never sell your photos or data. Do I need my own API key? What does ClosetLens cost?
No API key needed. The free plan gives you 3 listing generations every month at no cost and with no credit card. Paid plans are Starter at $6.99/month (50 generations) and Pro at $14.99/month (unlimited). If you'd rather use your own AI budget, you can add your OpenAI API key in BYOK mode: generations then run on your own provider allowance, and your key is stored only in your local browser storage - it is never sent to our servers.
How do the 3 free generations work? Do they roll over?
Each generation produces listings for all three platforms at once and counts as one - not three. Your free allowance resets every month on your signup-date cycle (the side panel always shows the exact reset date, e.g. “Resets Oct 14”). Unused generations don't roll over. Failed generations and rejected non-product photos don't count.
Which platforms does ClosetLens support?
Poshmark, Depop, and eBay - on the desktop Chrome browser. Each draft follows that platform's own format: Style keywords for Poshmark, 5 hashtags for Depop, and Item Specifics suggestions for eBay. It's a Chrome (Manifest V3) side panel extension; mobile and other marketplaces aren't supported yet.
What if the generated listing gets a detail wrong?
AI is a fast first draft, not a fact checker. It can misread a brand, size, material, or condition, so every field is editable before you copy it - the item summary even flags anything it's unsure about. Always verify brand, condition, measurements, and flaws against the real item, and edit anything that's off. You can also regenerate a single platform's draft. You're responsible for the final listing, same as if a friend had helped you brainstorm it.
Can I regenerate or edit without paying extra?
Editing text and copying fields are always free and unlimited. Clicking Regenerate - for all three platforms or just one - counts as one new generation, since it's a fresh AI request.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Use Manage Subscription in the extension settings (it opens your Creem customer portal) or the link in your payment receipt email. Cancellation stops the next monthly charge, and you keep full access until the end of the billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. First-time subscribers can request a full refund within 7 days of the initial purchase if they've used fewer than 10 successful generations. Email support@closetlens.app with your purchase email. See the Refund Policy for full details.
